Bruins Fall to Panthers 7-5, Panthers Force Game 7
Bruins Unable to Build Momentum in Game 6
Tkachuk Scores Twice for Florida
The Boston Bruins fell to the Florida Panthers 7-5 in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference Finals series on Thursday night, forcing a Game 7 back in Boston on Saturday.
Matthew Tkachuk led the way for the Panthers with two goals, including the game-tying goal midway through the third period. Aleksander Barkov, Carter Verhaeghe, and Sam Reinhart also scored for Florida.
The Bruins got goals from David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Jake DeBrusk, and Patrice Bergeron, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Panthers' offensive onslaught.
The Bruins will now need to win Game 7 on Saturday night in Boston in order to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. The Panthers, meanwhile, will be looking to close out the series and earn their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final since 1996.
Game 7 is set for Saturday night at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN.
