Luostarinen's Late Goal Proves Decisive
Swayman Shines in Net for Boston
Eetu Luostarinen scored the go-ahead goal with just under six minutes remaining in the third period as the Boston Bruins defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 in Game 1 of their NHL playoff series on Tuesday night.
Jeremy Swayman made 38 saves for the Bruins, who took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. David Pastrnak, Taylor Hall, Craig Smith, and Nick Foligno also scored for Boston.
The Panthers, who had won their last three games, were led by Aleksander Barkov's goal. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 24 of 29 shots in the loss.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday night in Florida.
