Honasan's Reform PH Party Unveiled
Former Senator and Magdalo Soldiers Join Forces
Reformed Armed Forces Members Support New Political Movement
MANILA, Philippines - Former Senator Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan, along with several members of the Magdalo soldiers and former members of the Reformed Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), have launched a new political party called Reform PH.
The party's official launch took place at the historic Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan City. In attendance were key members of the Reform PH Party, including its President Gregorio Honasan II, Vice President Win Gatchalian, and Secretary General Manny Montejo.
According to Honasan, Reform PH aims to provide a "new breed of leaders" who are committed to fighting corruption, promoting transparency, and reforming the Philippine political system. The party's platform includes proposals for economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability.
The Reform PH Party is part of a growing trend of new political movements emerging in the Philippines. In recent years, several other parties have been formed, such as the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) led by former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
The formation of Reform PH and other new political parties suggests a growing dissatisfaction with the current political landscape in the Philippines. Citizens are increasingly looking for alternatives to the traditional political parties, which have been plagued by corruption and inefficiency.
It remains to be seen whether Reform PH will be able to make a significant impact in the upcoming elections. However, the party's launch has certainly generated a buzz and sparked conversations about the need for political reform in the country.
