Worldwide Motorcycle Awareness Ride This Sunday
Getting Motorcyclists Noticed In Metro Areas
Metro Areas, Where Motorcycle Awareness Is Needed
The Worldwide Motorcycle Awareness Ride will take place this Sunday, May 23rd, across North America. The ride is intended to make motorists more conscious of motorcyclists, who are often overlooked or even ignored by drivers.
In metro areas, where traffic is heavy and drivers are often distracted, motorcyclists are especially vulnerable. A study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found that motorcyclists are 27 times more likely to be killed in a crash than car drivers.
There are a number of things that can be done to improve motorcycle awareness, including:
- Motorcyclists wearing bright, reflective clothing
- Drivers being more aware of their surroundings
- Law enforcement cracking down on distracted driving
The Worldwide Motorcycle Awareness Ride is a great opportunity to raise awareness about this important issue. By participating in the ride, you can help to make our roads safer for everyone.
